Organization Grant Purpose
Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin Bicycle Friendly Community Project will assess current bicycle conditions and make recommendations for improvements, identify local stakeholders and advocates and connect them with statewide resources, introduce citizens and government officials to bicycling events, activities and programs and assist in getting communities designated as Bicycle Friendly Communities.
Bike to Work Week promotes bicycling by encouraging people to use their bicycle as a means of transportation.
Dane County Transition School To increase repair equipment, fund consumable bike parts and for hiring a professional bike mechanic to do training.
Freewheel Community Workshop Help make cycling more accessible by providing a non-commercial do-it-together bicycle repair shop for Madison's south side community and hold a series of classes on bicycle mechanics and repair.
We are All Mechanics Educate women about the mechanical systems of a bicycle, by demystifying the mechanisms for them and providing them with the opportunity to learn and practice 'unsocialized' skills.
Wheels for Winners The purpose of the "Fix a Bike Youth Mentoring Project" is to enable the participating teens to become self-sufficient cyclists and subsequently volunteer to repair bicycles for area-wide children receiving bikes from Wheels for Winners.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Milwaukee The bicycle repair and recycle program is designed to offer youth who live in the inner city of Milwaukee a place to get their bicycle repaired, provide B&GC members who do not have a bike the opportunity to earn one, and teach youth the basics of bike safety and bike maintenance.
Putnam Heights Elementary School Increase the school's capacity for bicycle parking.
Andrew Muzi/Yellow Jersey Scholarship An annual grant to a graduate student in the UW Madison Transportation Management and Policy Program in honor of the lifetime contribution of Andrew Muzi and Yellow Jersey to bicycling in Greater Madison Area.
Weston Wood Award The fund is meant to continue Weston Wood's legacy of support for bicycle touring by offering one award each year to someone who would otherwise be unlikely or unable to participate in such an adventure.
